What are demo version limitations?
Demo version of PC Guard for .NET/Win32 has the following limitations:
- You can not protect DLL files with this version.
- Remove license, license transfer, limited license, evaluation and license extension
features are not available.
- Protected file sometimes displays a warning message and quits.
- Protected file can be executed 20 times only.
- You can not load or save project settings.
- V4 Init code calculation is disabled.
- Code section encryption is always set.
- Combination of Demo mode and Remote protection method is not working as described
in user's manual.
- Protection interface feature is not available.
- Run-time encryption feature is not available.
- Machine ID feature is not available.
- You can not create parameters file for AC Generator.
- Full version contains additional protection code for better security.
Note: Full featured version does not have any of the above limitations.
I keep getting "No more executions left!"
error message. What I'm doing wrong?
Program protected with DEMO version can be run for 10 times only. Use different
Application signature for each program in order to get additional 10 runs.
I'm using remote protection method and demo
mode and I'm not able to access protected application during demo mode? "Enter
application" radio button is initially disabled?
This is one of demo version limitations. In full featured version "Enter application"
radio button is enabled during demo mode until evaluation period expires. After
that, you client must obtain valid activation code from you in order to access protected
application.
Demo version does not allow me to test DLL
protection as I can only protect .EXE files. Can you help?
Sure. Send your DLL file to us and we will protect it and send it back to you.
Protected file can be executed for 20 times
even if I set execution limitation to 5?
This is normal behavior as in case of demo version, protected application can be
executed for 20 times only regardless of demo mode limitations in project settings.
